Process

This entire process can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week, depending on the complexity of the design and the size of the vehicle.

Client Consultation: Start by discussing the client's goals, the look they want, and any brand guidelines (if applicable). Get the vehicle's make, model, and year to ensure a proper fit.
Concept Design: Using design software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW, a designer will create the visual concept for the wrap. The design can include custom graphics, logos, colors, and patterns.
Vehicle Template: A detailed template of the vehicle is used to place the design. The designer maps out each panel of the vehicle to ensure the wrap fits seamlessly.
Client Approval: Once the design is finalized, it’s presented to the client for approval. Any revisions or tweaks are made at this stage.

Printing the Wrap: Once the design is finalized and approved, it’s sent to a large-format printer. High-quality vinyl films are printed with eco-solvent or UV inks to ensure durability and vibrant colors.
Cutting the Vinyl: After printing, the vinyl sheets are laminated for added protection against UV rays, scratches, and wear. Then, the vinyl is cut according to the design's outlines, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Quality Check: The printed and laminated vinyl is inspected for any imperfections, color mismatches, or defects before being packaged for installation.

Vehicle Cleaning: The vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned and prepped before installation. Any dirt, grease, or debris will prevent the vinyl from adhering properly.
Surface Preparation: The surface is often treated with isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining contaminants, ensuring that the vinyl adheres securely.

Applying the Vinyl: The wrap is applied carefully, often in sections, to the vehicle's surface. The installation usually involves a few techniques:
- Dry Install: The vinyl is applied to the surface without using any liquid adhesive (though some use a tack solution to help with alignment).
- Wet Install: Sometimes, a mist of water or solution is applied to the vehicle’s surface before laying down the vinyl. This allows for easier adjustments and smoothing out air bubbles.
Heat Application: A heat gun is often used to make the vinyl more pliable and ensure it conforms to the contours of the vehicle.
Smoothing and Stretching: Installers use tools like squeegees, felt-edged knives, and heat to stretch and smooth out the vinyl to fit over curves, creases, and contours of the vehicle.
Trimming: Once the vinyl is applied and smoothed, excess material is trimmed around the edges to give a clean, sharp finish.
Finishing Touches: Any seams, edges, and corners are securely bonded, and the wrap is checked for air bubbles or imperfections

Curing: The vinyl needs time to adhere fully to the surface. It’s generally recommended to leave the vehicle for 24-48 hours to allow the vinyl to set properly.
Inspection: The installer will do a final check for any imperfections or areas that need adjustment.
Client Walkthrough: Finally, the client is shown the finished product, and any questions regarding maintenance and care are addressed.

Washing: It's recommended to wash the vehicle by hand (not using automated car washes), as this will help preserve the wrap's longevity.
Avoiding Harsh Conditions: While vinyl wraps are durable, avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh conditions, such as extreme temperatures or abrasive cleaning materials, can prolong the life of the wrap.
